These Pro Comp NP231 short shaft or slip yoke eliminator kits shorten the T-case, allowing you to run a 4 in. longer CV-style driveshaft. Combined with a CV-style driveshaft (sold separately), they help eliminate driveline vibration and the friction of the factory slip yoke design. These kits also improve driveline angles and eliminate the need for a transfer case lowering kit. This helps improve ground clearance, since the skid pan is not lowered. The new main shaft is close to 20 percent larger than factory, and will take the added torque of 4-to-1 conversions, additional horsepower, and larger tires.
