Off-road tire questions, answered

What's the difference between all-terrain and mud-terrain tires?
All-terrains use tighter tread blocks for a quieter ride, longer wear and better wet/snow grip on pavement. Mud-terrains use big, widely-spaced lugs that claw through mud and rock but run louder and wear faster on the highway. If you split time between street and trail, an A/T or hybrid R/T is usually the better daily choice.

Should I run bias-ply or radial tires off-road?
Bias-ply tires have stiff, tough sidewalls that resist cuts and conform at low air pressure — ideal for hardcore trail and mud rigs. Radials ride smoother, run cooler and last longer on pavement. Our full guide: bias-ply vs. radial — which is better off-road?

Can I buy tires already mounted on wheels?
Yes — pair any tire with wheels in our package builder and it arrives mounted, balanced and ready to bolt on. Mounting and balancing are always free, which typically saves $200–800 versus paying a local shop.

How do I know a tire will fit my truck?
Every tire size has a recommended wheel-width range, and clearance depends on your lift, offset and backspacing. Use the vehicle selector, or contact us with your setup — if anything looks off on your order, we reach out before it ships.
