Truck Freight Issues
Due to the YRC Freight Company (Yellow/Roadway) closing it's doors, all other shipping companies have been overrun with new business from previous YRC customers. YRC was one of the largest freight companies in the United States and the influx of new business to other carriers has been overwhelming. The other freight companies currently do not have the trucks, drivers or dock workers to handle this additional business.
We have seen shipments that were previously taking a couple of days, now taking a week or even longer to get to the customer.
Orders of tires larger than 35x12.50s will be affected the most. These tires have to go by Truck because of the way too costly surcharges that UPS and FEDEX are adding to larger tires and packages. Large items such as bumpers, some running boards and side bars and other oversized and heavier products are also affected.
THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT IS GOING TO AFFECT EVERY SINGLE COMPANY OUT THERE THAT IS SHIPPING ANYTHING, NOT JUST US!
